Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude
[Psalm 68:19 NLT]
Yesterday was a rough day, yet, I had two little blessings come my way. First, after a week of beautiful sunshine, it rained. I love rain because of the soothing sound, especially at night. Second, I had another business tell me I didn’t have to put on facial adornment to enter through their doors. (Huge!)
The kindness of a stranger to me, via a message, telling me I could enter their business put me in tears – chest wrenching sobs. I cannot explain it. The feeling of immense relief and little bit of joy was overwhelming. It was a little blessing from God. It made me remember that God love us so much and knows our pain.
Little blessings are like hugs from God that we can sense with our human senses. We can see, hear, smell, touch, listen, and know in our spirit that God sent it to help us through. These little blessings might not seem like much to someone else, but to the person enduring the suffering it gives them a bit of relief from the pain. They are a reminder of our hope in an eternal life without any suffering. Everyone’s little blessings – little hugs – from God are different. That’s because God knows what each of us relates to and will benefit from the most.
What little blessings have you experienced during your trials?
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
[Revelation 21:4 NKJV]
Dear Lord,
Thank you for little blessings you send us from above. You hear our cries and you know our pain and sorrows. When we reach for you we are heard by you. Your love for us knows no boundaries. Thank you for everything you do to show your love for us. Thank you that we get to spend eternity with you where there will be no suffering, no sorrow, no evil of any kind – we will experience your pure love forever.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
Verses |
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. [James 5:13-15 NKJV] May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant. [Psalm 119:76 NIV] who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. [2 Corinthians 1:4 NKJV] |
