Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!
[Psa 146:1 NKJV]
Giving praise to God. Worshiping the Lord on High with everything we have in us. It isn’t the easiest thing for us to do, especially when times are rough. However, the spirit within us guides us to praise. By praising God we are humbling ourselves to Him because we are giving Him the honor and not ourselves. [Jas 4:7-10 NKJV]
Praise ‘occurs 152 times in 126 verses in the book of ‘Psalms’ in the NKJV.’ King David knew how important it was to continually praise the Lord, no matter his circumstances.
By praising God, we open our hearts to everything He wants for us and more. Praising God gives us hope and comfort. [Psa 71:14 NKJV] While we yet have breath, let us praise the Lord! We hold out for Him and give Him our devotion until the very end.
While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
[Psa 146:2 NKJV]
