For forty years I was grieved with [that] generation, And said, ‘It [is] a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways. So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’
[Psa 95:10-11 NKJV]
Wrath. A harsh word and yet truthful when it comes to God dealing with those who choose to go against Him. Wrath is defined as 1: strong vengeful anger or indignation, 2: retributory punishment for an offense or a crime : divine chastisement. [Webster’s Dictionary, Wrath] It is most definitely not a pleasant word and should shake the heart of anyone who hears it. And, yet, today we see people going against God all the time and many laughing that Christians even believe there is a God let alone one that will bring His wrath on the nations – especially America.
Today we see the signs that God is allowing our nation to undergo judgement. It is nothing compared to what will happen during the tribulation but it is still a struggle. The remnant church understands what is happening. God has given our nation so many chances to turn back to Him. Yet, generation after generation has drifted further and further from Him. He has been shut out of everything. Unfortunately, we are seeing come to light the full consequences of that.
It is hard to watch it happen and definitely difficult to go through it. The church is responsible for much of this since it didn’t stand for truth over the decades. Instead, much of the church kept to its corner and let the world happen around them.
God’s full wrath hasn’t even begun. Given what we are experiencing now, I am so thankful Christ will come for His Bride before the wrath of God goes into full swing. As Israel was not allowed to rest for 40 years, the nations of the world are heading to a very stressful, horrific unrest. For now, I pray for God to give the remnant the strength to get through this judgement. I pray He watches over the pastors that are standing for God’s truth. I pray He guides us to the finish line.
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
[Rev 3:10-11 NKJV]
