These days it is rare if I have a really good day. It’s not that I try to have difficult days, but it takes very little to send my stress level into the migraine headache state. So, when I have a really good day I’m ecstatic!
Today was a good day. It was low stress and no headaches. The sun was shining, and it felt like summer outside, which in my state is rare this time of year. I walked our dog, who cut his own walk short because he was too hot – that’s also rare! My husband helped me do somethings around the house that helped organize our crazy storage space that used to be a fireplace room before last year – 2020.
As I was enjoying the sunshine I had to stop and remember that God wants to hear from us on good days as well as bad days. In fact, I’m thinking He probably wants to hear from us more on good days, because good days are when many don’t think to give Him their attention. When we are having a good day we typically don’t need help. We think all is just fine. God then gets put on a back burner.
God loves us so much. He wants to be part of every single second, minute, hour, day, month, and year of our lives. He wants to rejoice with us when things are going well. He wants to be the shoulder we turn to when things are difficult.
How many of us will remember to give God our devotion on good days? I know I want Him to be part of my good days as well as my bad days. I want to rejoice and sing and praise Him during the good and the bad. Just imagine how life will be with Him in eternity. Every single moment will be good.
You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.[Psa 63:5 NLT]
