Prayer Day 53: Leaning

My flesh and my heart fail; [But] God [is] the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

[Psa 73:26 NKJV]

Putting our full trust in anything is antithetical to our human nature. It should be anyway, given that man is imperfect and the world focus is on self rather than Christ.

So, leaning into Christ may seem crazy to the world, but for the believer it is the thing we need to do every day in everything we do. God has our best interests at heart where the world does not. Some days we need to let Him do the work because we cannot function. We let Him carry us.

On days when my headaches take over I have to let Christ take over. He gives me the strength to do things needed and reminds me that not everything has to be done immediately. He helps me prioritize and sometimes that means resting.

We lean into Christ because He is the most stable foundation we will ever have in our life.

The stone [which] the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

[Psa 118:22 NKJV]
