Passports. A document that lets you travel to another country or to get into special venues. My husband and I have had passports to a special venue for a few years. The passports allowed us into the venue and gave us special discounts on merchandise and food. Each year we renewed the passport for a specific price – which typically went up about ten percent of the value each year.
This year the passport program was canceled because the venue hasn’t been able to open back up since being forced to close in 2020. The venue sent out a letter of apology and promised to “make up for it” in other ways. It was sad to see the program end, but I think many of us anticipated it ending.
God also offers a passport to us. He offers us the passport of salvation and eternal life with Him through His son, Jesus Christ. The passport is free. It does not increase in price every year. When we get to heaven, there are rewards at the BEMA seat and housing and food are included!

Also, our passport (salvation) is never canceled! All we have to do is admit we are sinners, believe in Jesus Christ, and commit our lives to Him. (ABCs of Salvation)
Unlike world based venues, no amount of money can buy a person entrance. Rich people cannot buy their way in. No amount of works and “being good” will get a person in. The only way in is through Jesus Christ. Christ already paid the price with his blood on the cross.
“And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Christ told the apostles that he was going to prepare a place for us and that he will return when the Father sends him for his bride.
“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

I cannot wait to see my mansion. Our heavenly homes are going to be more glorious than anything we have ever seen here on earth. No venue, even the cheeriest place on earth, can compete with what we will have in heaven.

Dear Jesus,
What a glorious promise of life we have with you in heaven. It will be so incredible that we can’t even begin to imagine the beauty and the wonders awaiting us there. We thank you for paying the price for us so we could have our heavenly passport. Your sacrifice on the cross, and your love running red, was done out of so much love for us. Thank you that our passports are never canceled but are forever when we commit our lives to you. We could never pay the price, so you did it for us. Help us remember to store up treasures in heaven and not on earth where our lives and this world are fleeting. Help us stand firm and continue to look up until we get to use our passports of salvation.
