The last two days snow has been falling in our area. Snow is beautiful and serene, especially at the first snowfall. Pristine white. Sparkling. Quiet. When I look at it I think of the gloriousness of God. Think of what must take place in the heavens for snow to fall. Every aspect of it is perfect science.
Christ’s life, death, and resurrection were also perfect. The blood of Christ covered us like a perfect, fresh blanket of snow.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
[Isa 1:18 NKJV]
A large snowfall covers the ground. Quite often nothing underneath can be seen. No dirt. No bugs. No grass. Nothing. All that one sees is the sparkle of the clean snow. The same with the blood of the Lamb over us. When Christ died for us not a spot of sin was left uncovered by His sacrifice.
We are so blessed to have a God that loves us that much. He had His Son sacrificed so we could as white as snow in His eyes.
Dear Lord,
What an awesome God you are that you gave your only son to die for our sins. It is because of that selfless sacrifice that we are covered in the blood of the Lamb and are as white as snow. No blemishes were left uncovered. He paid the price so we could be with you in eternity. Thank you for sending Him. Forgive us when we fall. Forgive us when we forget how great the sacrifice was to save us. Like a fresh blanket of snow, we know we are covered and have the assurance of eternal life with you.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
