Prayer Day 10: Hallelujah

2021-02-04 By Heather

Safe in Your love, I sing alleluia – Dawn by Rebbeca St. James

Hallelujah! Defined as “a shout or song of praise or thanksgiving.” – Webster’s Dictionary During and after a long day; a tough day; a time of struggle we can still lift our hands and sing praises to our King of kings.

There is so much struggle these days. Many people are barely holding on. Barely holding on to businesses. Barely holding on to jobs. Barely holding on to the last paycheck as they see bills piling up. Many feel like there is nothing to sing praises about. That’s where we, as Christ followers, differ. We know this home is not our final home. We know that any circumstance, good or bad, is just another moment in our lives to grow stronger in the Lord.

God uses many different circumstances to build our faith and trust in Him. He says we will have troubles in this world but that He has overcome them all…every single one!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

[Jhn 16:33 NIV]

As we close another day, let us remember to lift our hands to our Father in heaven. Lift our hands in praise to our Savior, Christ Jesus, who will be coming back for us soon.

Dear Jesus:

Thank you that we can sing hallelujah to you because you are worthy of our praise. As the creator of our world; as the ruler of all; as the intercessor for us we can lift our hands to you and know you are there. Things in this world are getting out of control in our eyes but for you they are falling into place. Help us lift our anxieties you, Lord, as we praise you for your goodness. Watch over all of your children tonight and give us your peace that surpasses all understanding. Especially be with all those on the frontlines standing and fighting for your truth and those who are really struggling as they have had their lives torn apart by man..

In Jesus Name, Amen.
