When my heart is heavy, my mind is weary, and my body feels the stress of it all the only words I can often muster are “God help.”
Recently I watched a video by a well known 1990s actor. He is doing 100 days of fireside prayer called the American Campfire Revival. You can follow his streams on FB and IG here:

The reason for 100 days of prayer is that the first 100 days of any new administration in government tends to set the tone for what is to come. This actor’s thinking is that if the government’s first 100 days sets a tone then, we as believers in Christ, can be doing 100 days of prayer to set the tone for how the Church is to respond. 100 days for setting the tone for what we as individuals can do, with God’s help, during this time of strain and judgement.
Since I found this prayer idea only yesterday, I’m several days off the track to align directly with the 100 days. However, I need to remember that God doesn’t align with any government or any person. They align with Him because He controls all. So, I will pray and trust God to align and set the tone for His 100 days timeline of prayer focus in my life.
Dear Jesus:
I don’t know much these days. I know that I see fear everywhere. I know that I see things tumbling before us. I see evil encroaching on every area of our nation. My heart breaks. My soul aches. I shed tears because I don’t know how else to respond. I know tears can be healing, but only, Lord, if those tears come from crying out to you in repentance. Lord, I need your guidance. I need your wisdom. I need your strength to get me through. Please show me, Lord, what to do. Help me remain focused on you. God help! Let the Holy Spirit intercede for where I have no words. Thank you, Lord. I will praise you and seek you in every circumstance.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
