It’s that time of year where I fall for the limited edition food product marketing ploys of the baking and sugary treat companies.
Whenever I walk by a display of limited edition items my hands just reach out and grab the item. Many times I truly think my hands have a mind of their own because I’ll get to the register and think, “Did I really pick those up?”
This time the item was Halloween cereal, General Mills Frankenberry and Count Chocula to be exact. And, my husband was with me, so that just made it all the more fun. He sees my eyes get wide, and if the product isn’t overly expensive (as in more than a few dollars), he’ll grab it for me.

Yet another recipe made from the fun General Mills Monster Cereals! It is so much fun to come up with dessert recipes using these cereals. This time it is Count Chocula. The cereal combined with brownie mix, marshmallow cream, and white chocolate makes for a sweet, crunchy, chewy layer bar that drives you to eat just more than one!
And, since Halloween is around the corner, it was fitting for the time of year.

Ham and Swiss. That is not a combination I have eaten much of in the past years. My husband isn’t a huge fan of ham so I have kept turkey and other meats in the house instead.
A few months ago, though, a relative shared a picture of a ham and swiss sandwich on King’s Hawaiian rolls.
